i worked with the outlaw ocean project; an ongoing investigative journalism project by pulitzer prize winning ian urbina, exposing the lawlessness at (or relating to) our vast unsupervised oceans; from human rights abuse to ocean depletion and environmental impact, the crimes happening on and under the water are just as numerous as they are gut-wrenching.

this piece is based on a true story about the incarceration and fate of migrants in libya. (journalism by the outlaw ocean project)

karuna-shechen is a wonderful organisation that helps under-priveleged people and animals in nepal, india, tibet and france. they particularly address issues like women’s rights, women’s education, healthcare, animal welfare, mental health.. and the protection of our natural environment. matthew richard, the founder of the organisation is also on a mission to have us stand in wonderment of the natural world. the belief is simple: if you fall in love with something, you are more likely to protect it.

i made this piece, called wonderment, based on that thinking…

i made this little piece for sea shepherd while i was volunteering for them
